How To Make Green Tea Scrub (3 ways)

I have been experimenting with green tea and dried rose petals scrubs and these 3 recipes are the ones I like the most. So, if you don’t mind elaborated recipes, follow the step by step directions.

At the same time, if you want easy recipes, make the sugar scrub cubes using just one part of the recipe.

1. Homemade Green Tea Scrub With Shea Butter and Soap

Ingredients

Directions for step one

  • In a bowl combine melted Shea butter and dried rose petals. Stir.
  • Add 10 drops of rose essential oil and pink colorant. Stir.
  • Fill half of the molds with the mixture.

Directions for step two

  • In another bowl combine the white sugar with one green tea bag powder.
  • Melt the soap and quickly (soap dries really fast) mix with the sugar mixture.
  • Pour over the Shea butter layer and place it in the freezer until it hardens.

Unmold and cut in similar size cubes.

  • In a separate container melt soap, add 5 drops of lemongrass essential oil and green colorant. Stir and combine with sugar and tea mixture.

Fill half of the molds with the mixture. Now onto the second part.

Ingredients (pink side)

How to make it (step two)

  • In a bowl combine sugar, dried rose petals, and almond oil.
  • Melt soap and add it to the sugar mixture.
  • Add rose essential oil and pink colorant. Stir.

Pour the mixture on top of the green layer and place in the freezer until it sets.

Unmold.

Grind one tablespoon of dried rose petals in a coffee grinder to make a powder. Mix it with a few dried rose petals.

  • Cover the bottom of the molds with this mixture.

How to make it (step two)

  • Now combine sugar, green tea, and the dried rose petals powder and stir.
  • Melt coconut oil and add the rose essential oil.
  • Mix it with the sugar mixture and stir.
  • Fill in the rest of the molds with the sugar mixture (on top of the soap layer).
